LOGO! - Projects: Automation Platform Intended For a marine aquarium

Hello, I would like to know which components are needed for an automation system for a marine aquarium.
The automation system should operate:
n.8 taken controlled
n.1 group lights dimmable
1 probe for pH control
1 probe for monitoring temperature
Possibly if possible I want to connect to the LOGO! even n.1 Redox control probe and probe 1 for the control of the density marina
You can create an installation of this type using the PLC LOGO?
I kindly mentioned that the components should I buy to make this house?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Sincerely, Mino

Marine Aquarium Automation with Siemens LOGO!

Dear Mino,

Yes, a Siemens LOGO! PLC can definitely handle the automation of your marine aquarium. Here's a component list and suggested setup:

Required Components:

  • LOGO! 8.3 or higher: The central controller. ( Siemens LOGO!)
  • Digital Output Module (8-channel): For controlling the 8 taken valves. ( Example LOGO! 8 Digital Output)
  • Analog Input Module (for dimmable lights): For 0-10V or 1-10V dimming control of your lights. ( Example LOGO! 8 Analog Input)
  • pH Probe & Transmitter: A pH probe compatible with a 4-20mA transmitter (connects to LOGO! analog input).
  • Temperature Probe & Transmitter: A temperature probe with a 4-20mA transmitter (connects to LOGO! analog input).
  • Optional: Redox Probe & Transmitter: If desired, a redox probe with a 4-20mA transmitter.
  • Optional: Salinity/Density Probe & Transmitter: If desired, a salinity/density probe with a 4-20mA transmitter.
  • Power Supply: 24V DC power supply for the LOGO! and modules.
  • Wiring & Enclosure: Appropriate wiring, connectors, and an enclosure to house the components.

Considerations:

Ensure the probes and transmitters you choose have a 4-20mA output signal, which is compatible with the LOGO!'s analog inputs. You'll need to configure the LOGO! to scale the 4-20mA signals to appropriate values for pH, temperature, redox, and salinity.
