SIMATIC S7-1500: 16DI/16DQ Component what is the max Entry current?

Hi.
I am talking about the 6ES7 523-1BL00-0AA0 module
I want to connect 24VDC programmable timer to the input of this module. The timer supplies up to 2A of current.
I didn't found the maximum limitation for the input current.
Will it be able to manage up to 2A in the input?
Thanks

Regarding 6ES7 523-1BL00-0AA0 Input Current Limit

Hello,

The 6ES7 523-1BL00-0AA0 (SIMATIC ET 200SP, standard I/O, 4-channel 24 V DC input) has a maximum input current of 0.5A per channel and 2A total for the entire module.

Connecting a 24VDC programmable timer supplying up to 2A to a single input channel of this module is not recommended and could potentially damage the module. The timer's current exceeds the per-channel limit.

You will need to use an interface (e.g., a relay or optocoupler) to isolate the timer and reduce the current drawn by the ET 200SP input.

For detailed specifications, refer to the ET 200SP documentation on SiePortal:

ET 200SP System Manual
