Dear all,
I have a little problem after testing reader sensors via Spectation 2.7.
It's necessary for me to read and identify labels with barcode USS-128 codeset B.
When number of symbols in code less than 9 (for example F2781) reader sensor work fine.
But when number of symbols more than 9 (for example code is LJ5506000160305) reader sensor can't identify this information.
Please, explain this situatuon.
It's very importantfor me to read barcode labels in referred format (USS-128 codeset B with 15 symbols length).
BR, Eugene.
Dear Eugene,
The issue you're experiencing with reading USS-128 Code B barcodes containing more than 9 symbols in Spectation 2.7 is likely due to a length restriction within the software's configuration for this symbology. Spectation 2.7 might have a default maximum symbol length set to 9 characters for USS-128 Code B.
To resolve this, you need to increase the maximum symbol length allowed for USS-128 Code B within Spectation 2.7's configuration settings.
Please refer to the Spectation 2.7 Configuration Manual for detailed instructions on modifying symbology settings, specifically the maximum symbol length parameter.
If the issue persists after adjusting the settings, please create a support request via SiePortal, providing the Spectation configuration file for further analysis.
Sincerely,
Siemens Self Support
