dearfriends
I have some problem with our massflow-meterparameter reading.we use fc300 sensor and mass 6000 reader for mass-flowmetery.
I want to read mass-flow by current output and density by digital output.
when I set digital output to frequency mode, only 1voltamplitude pulse generated on outputs.becauseof low amplitude I cant read this pulse in my plc(314c) by frequencymeasurementmode.
in manual of mass 6000 motioned that the output can be set to active mode orpassivemode, but no detail I can find to how do it! also I cant find jumpers that motioned in manual to switch between that two mode.
I usetechnologicalfunction for readingfrequencyby my compactPLC.
Is it possible to increase amplitude of pulsesinternally(without using amplifiers or optos board) to make it readable by that plc?
or any help to how read that pulse by 314c PLC will change mychallenge.
if anybody have some hint with this sensors?
please help me.and TANX.
Dear Friend,
Regarding your issue with the FC300 sensor and Mass 6000 reader, specifically the low amplitude frequency output, here's a breakdown of potential solutions:
The Mass 6000 manual references Active/Passive modes for the frequency output. Unfortunately, the location of the mode selection is device specific and depends on the firmware version. It's often configured via parameters within the device's setup, accessible through a service interface (e.g., via a handheld communicator or software). Since you can't find physical jumpers, it is most likely a parameter setting.
Unfortunately, increasing the pulse amplitude internally within the Mass 6000 without external hardware is generally not possible. The output is designed to a specific standard, and there are no user-adjustable gain settings for the frequency output signal.
Here are some ways to potentially improve pulse reading with your PLC:
Please refer to the following SiePortal resources for detailed information:
If you can provide the exact firmware version of your Mass 6000, I can investigate if there are specific parameter settings related to output signal strength or Active/Passive mode selection.
Sincerely,
