WinCC Unified Systems: Windows control center Combined simulation

Hello everyone,
I am a total new user of Wincc Unified and I am trying to simulate my 1200 Unified panel in my PC using the WinCC Unified web interface. But I keep getting the message "the validation of the parameter 'service' failed".
I am using the user configured in WinCC Unified configuration wizard, and I made sure that all Windows services required are activated.
Your help is highly appreciated.

WinCC Unified - "Validation of parameter 'service' failed" Error

Hello!

This error typically indicates an issue with the WinCC Unified Runtime services. Here's a breakdown of troubleshooting steps:

  1. Service Status: Double-check that all required WinCC Unified Runtime services are running in Windows Services (services.msc). Specifically, ensure the "Siemens WinCC Unified Runtime" service is started.
  2. User Permissions: Verify the user account you're using in WinCC Unified and the web interface has sufficient permissions to access and control these Windows services. Ideally, it should be a member of the 'Administrators' group for initial testing, but a dedicated service account is recommended for production.
  3. Firewall: Ensure your Windows Firewall (or any other firewall software) isn't blocking communication to the WinCC Unified Runtime services.
  4. Runtime Configuration: In WinCC Unified, review the Runtime settings under "Project" > "Options" > "Runtime". Confirm that the service name/configuration is correct.
  5. SiePortal Resources: Consult these SiePortal resources for detailed troubleshooting steps:

If the problem persists, providing details about your WinCC Unified version and Windows operating system could help in further diagnosis.
