Yes, you can absolutely use inputs multiple times within a TIA Portal program without dragging a line across the entire program. TIA Portal supports multiple instances of the same input tag.

Here are a few methods:

• Direct Tag Reuse: Simply use the tag (e.g., I1) wherever needed in your network. TIA Portal handles multiple references to the same tag automatically. No special configuration is usually required.
• Symbolic Naming: Using symbolic names (address-independent naming) improves readability and maintainability, especially when reusing tags.
• Indirect Addressing (for complex scenarios): For dynamic selection of inputs, consider using indirect addressing with data blocks.

Dragging a line is generally not the recommended approach for reusing inputs. It creates visual clutter and doesn’t leverage the built-in tag management features.
