Process Instrumentation / Analyzer Systems / Weighing Technology / Valve Positioner / MI Digital Solution: Siwarex Cs lost config Information Following Energy Malfunction

Hi All
We have one SIWAREX CS module connected to ET200S remote I_O node.
Everything working OK after the calibration, but when we have power failure (for all ET200S), the Siwarex module lost their calibration parameters.
Then we need to do calibration again (500kg of weights....!)
Any idea?
Thanks

SIWAREX CS Calibration Loss on Power Failure

SIWAREX CS - Lost Calibration After ET200S Power Failure

This is a known issue with SIWAREX CS modules connected to ET200S remote I/O when a complete power loss occurs to the ET200S. The calibration data is typically stored in the ET200S and is lost upon power down without a maintained backup.

Possible Solutions & Considerations:

  • Battery-Backed Memory: Ensure the ET200S module has a battery-backed memory module installed and functioning correctly. This will retain the calibration data during short power outages.
  • Data Backup: Regularly back up the SIWAREX CS configuration (including calibration) to a separate storage location (e.g., PC) using TIA Portal. This allows for quick restoration.
  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply): Implement a UPS for the ET200S to provide temporary power during outages, preventing data loss.
  • Parameterization Check: Verify the SIWAREX CS is configured to retain calibration data if supported by the firmware version.

Siemens Support Portal offers further documentation and FAQs regarding SIWAREX CS and ET200S integration. Please search for articles related to "SIWAREX CS calibration loss" or "ET200S memory backup".

For specific guidance tailored to your setup, please provide your SIWAREX CS and ET200S firmware versions and TIA Portal version.
