Decentral Peripherie: Distributed i/o et200sp / Distributed i/o et200sp Ha Including Input output Backup System

Hi Experts,
Can we config IO redundancy when use ET200SP HA in Tia Portal ?
My system have much IO need IO redundancy and have to use S7 1500 series.
Anyone have idea to use less module support IO rendundancy with 1500 series?
According to my understanding, ET200SP module which support IO redundancy (HF module) just have 2 channel Analog Input, too little compared to project's need.
Thanks Experts,
Regards!

IO Redundancy with ET200SP HA and S7-1500 in TIA Portal

Yes, you can configure IO redundancy when using ET200SP HA in TIA Portal with an S7-1500 series PLC. However, your concern regarding limited channel counts on HF modules is valid.

Here's a breakdown of options & considerations:

  • ET200SP HA with HF Modules: As you noted, HF modules offer redundancy but have limited channel counts (e.g., 2 AI channels). This might not meet your project's needs directly.
  • ET200SP Standard + Redundancy Modules: Consider using standard ET200SP modules alongside redundancy modules (e.g., redundancy modules for digital inputs/outputs). This provides flexibility in channel selection.
  • Distributed Redundancy: Utilize multiple ET200SP HA stations, each handling a portion of the IO, and configured for redundancy.
