Motion Control System SIMOTION: Issue Including Siemens license manager

Hi,
I have very sily problem with SLM module 16kW. When I turn the main switch ON, the SIMOTION D435-2 is in RUN. Upon enabling the SLM with FB _LineModule_control it never turns the contactor on and after few seconds reports an errorID 10002.
But most weird thing is that if I put the SIMITION in STOP and then back to RUN everything works, until the next power off.

SLM Module 16kW - Error 10002 Troubleshooting

This issue with the SLM module (16kW) and SIMOTION D435-2, where the contactor doesn't engage after enabling via FB _LineModule_control and error ID 10002 appears, but resolves with a SIMOTION STOP/RUN cycle, suggests a potential initialization or timing problem during power-up.

Possible Causes & Solutions:

  • Initialization Sequence: The SLM module might require specific conditions during startup that aren't being met immediately after power-on. The STOP/RUN cycle likely resets these conditions.
  • Timing Issues: A slight delay might be necessary before enabling the SLM. Check the FB _LineModule_control parameters and ensure sufficient time is allowed for the module to initialize.
  • Hardware Interlock: Verify there are no external hardware interlocks preventing the contactor from engaging.
  • Firmware/Software: Ensure you're running the latest firmware for both the SIMOTION and SLM module.

Recommended Steps:

  1. Review the SLM module documentation for specific power-up requirements. Siemens Industry Support
  2. Examine the FB _LineModule_control parameters in your SIMOTION project, paying close attention to any timing or initialization settings.
  3. Monitor the SLM module's status signals in the SIMOTION project during startup to identify any signals that are not transitioning as expected.
  4. If the problem persists, consider contacting Siemens Support with your project details and SLM configuration for further assistance. Contact Siemens Support
