Kkula
Hi all,
I have One infeed module of rating 10/25Kw . Over it1 drive ( 2x15 A) and other ( 2x8 A) is already connected. Now i want to connect one more drive of 15 A over it .Will my infeed module support the above configuration.Waiting 4 reply.
Thanks in advance
Maximus
Dear Maximus,
Regarding your query about adding another 15A drive to your 10/25kW infeed module, let's analyze the capacity. You currently have drives consuming (2 x 15A) + (2 x 8A) = 36A. Adding another 15A drive will bring the total to 51A.
Important Considerations: The infeed module's current carrying capacity needs to be checked against this total. A 25kW infeed at a typical voltage (e.g., 400V) will have a maximum current limit. Also consider the inrush current of the drives during startup, which is significantly higher than the rated current.
Recommendation: Refer to the infeed module's datasheet on SiePortal to confirm its maximum continuous and peak current ratings. Ensure the 51A, *including inrush*, remains within these limits. If it exceeds the limits, you'll need a larger infeed module.
For detailed calculations and specific guidance related to your setup, please open a support request on SiePortal, providing the exact model number of your infeed module.
Sincerely,
Siemens Self Support
