Hi dear experts and friends
can any one explain me what is the droop and what purpose its using in inverter?
best regards
algudkar
Hello algudkar,
Droop control is a method used in inverters (particularly in parallel-connected systems like microgrids) to regulate voltage and share reactive power without relying on central communication. Essentially, it introduces a deliberate, small voltage drop (the 'droop') as the inverter's output current increases.
The output voltage of the inverter is intentionally lowered as the output current increases, following a 'droop' characteristic (a downward slope). This ensures that inverters with lower loads have slightly higher voltages, causing current to flow into them from inverters with higher loads.
