SIMODRIVE Converter system: Ue Component Issue & Motion Axis enable missing

Hello,
In our machine we can not enable the axes. It shows axis enable missing on screen. All enable signal goes from plc to nc. This part is okay. When I checked the terminals on UE module, 9/63, 9/64, 9/48 jumppers has 24V on it. But I tried to connect drive with simocom U and I checked the signals. As you can see on the photo, contr enable ne term 64/64 is missing. But I have already checked 24V on these pins. Does it mean that my UE module is broken?
Regards

Axis Enable Issue - Potential UE Module Fault

Hello,

Based on your description and the provided information (24V present at UE module terminals 9/63, 9/64, and 9/48, but missing "contr enable ne" signal at Simocom U terminal 64/64), a faulty UE module is a strong possibility.

Even with 24V present at the UE module terminals, an internal failure within the module could prevent the signal from being properly passed to the drive. The missing "contr enable ne" signal is a key indicator.

Recommended Actions:

  • Confirm Wiring: Double-check the wiring between the PLC, UE module, and drive, even though you've already verified the PLC signals.
  • Module Replacement: The most likely solution is to replace the UE module with a known good unit for testing.
  • SiePortal Support: Please refer to Siemens Support - Troubleshooting SINUMERIK 840D sl Axis Enable Issues for more detailed information.
  • Request a Repair: If a replacement isn't immediately available, initiate a repair request for the UE module through Siemens Repair Services.
