BData Web - Unable to Access via http://localhost/bdataweb

You're likely encountering this issue because BData Web requires specific IIS configuration *after* the basic installation. Simply having IIS set up isn't enough.

Here's a breakdown of what you need to verify:

  • Application Pool Identity: Ensure the Application Pool for BData Web is using an account with the necessary permissions. Typically, this is ApplicationPoolIdentity but might need to be adjusted based on your security setup.
  • Binding Configuration: Double-check the IIS binding for BData Web. It should be configured to listen on port 80 (or 443 for HTTPS) with "localhost" as the hostname.
  • Permissions: The user account running the Application Pool needs read/write access to the BData Web installation directory (and any related data folders).
  • BData Web Configuration: Verify that the web.config file within the BData Web installation directory is correctly configured.

If you've confirmed these settings and still face issues, please provide details about your BData Web version and the specific steps you've taken in IIS configuration. You can also search SiePortal for more specific guidance.
