Communication / Networks: How Towards link Siemens S7-1212 Including Mitsubishi Fx5u?

I have S7-1212 and Mitsubishi FX5U plc , Both can communicate open communication TCP.
but from s7 manual i need to use T Blocks on both devices which is not applicable at Mitsubishi,
also i can't add mitsubishi plc to the network view at step7 TIA .

S7-1212 & Mitsubishi FX5U Communication - T Blocks & Network View

You're correct; the T Blocks required by Siemens for open communication with the S7-1212 are not directly applicable to the Mitsubishi FX5U. Additionally, you won't be able to add a Mitsubishi PLC to the Step 7 TIA Portal's network view as it's designed for Siemens devices.

Here's how to proceed with TCP communication between these PLCs:

  • Mitsubishi Side: Implement TCP communication using the FX5U's native TCP/IP functions (e.g., sockets). You'll need to program the FX5U to act as a TCP server or client. Refer to the FX5U programming manual for details on TCP/IP communication.
  • Siemens Side: Use the TCON, TSEND, and TRCV blocks in the S7-1212. Configure these blocks to communicate with the FX5U's IP address and port number.
  • Data Exchange: Define a common data format for exchanging data between the two PLCs. Consider using a structured data type to ensure proper data interpretation.

Important Resources:

Essentially, you'll be creating a custom communication solution leveraging the native TCP/IP capabilities of both PLCs, as direct integration within the TIA Portal isn’t possible for non-Siemens devices.
