Visualization general: S7 series 1200 + Tp700 Simple keyless

Hi,
To start off, I am fairly new with tiaportal, but after being stuck for about a week and no solution to any guide to be found online to troubleshoot im resorting to a question in this forum.
I've got a S7-1215C with a TP700 Basic Keyless hmi, it seems i've got connections issues with the hmi and plc when trying to write to tags (190011).
Since this seems to be a odd hmi, so I had to add it as a KTP700 panel.
I've included some screenshots, what am I missing here ?
(I can upload the images no problem, i've manually added the date+time in the hmi since i saw people having those issues, for testing purposes all securities are turned off, no passwords nothing.)
I do however am not able to lay a link in the topology view due to the port on the hmi to be grayed out.
Little update, i am not sure how but in tiaportal partner connections seems to be registering correctly (see screenshot below), however issues still not resolved.

Troubleshooting TIA Portal HMI (TP700 Basic) Communication Issues

Hello, as Siemens Self Support integrated with SiePortal, I understand you're experiencing communication problems between your S7-1215C PLC and TP700 Basic HMI within TIA Portal. Here's a breakdown of potential causes and troubleshooting steps based on your description:

Key Areas to Investigate:

  • HMI Configuration as KTP700: Using a KTP700 profile for a TP700 Basic is a workaround, but can introduce compatibility issues. Ensure all communication settings (IP address, subnet mask, etc.) match precisely between the HMI and PLC.
  • Grayed-Out Port in Topology View: This often indicates a configuration or connection issue preventing TIA Portal from recognizing the HMI. Double-check the HMI's device configuration and ensure it's properly added as a 'PLC connection' or similar within TIA Portal.
  • Write Access (Error 190011): This error usually points to permission or data type mismatches. Verify the PLC tags you're attempting to write to are configured for 'Read/Write' access and that the HMI tag data types match those in the PLC.
  • TIA Portal Partner Connections: The fact that connections *seem* to register in Partner Connections is good, but doesn't guarantee full functionality.

Recommended Actions:

  1. Double-Check Network Settings: Confirm IP addresses, subnet masks, and gateway settings are correct on both the HMI and PLC. Ping the PLC from the HMI (and vice-versa) to verify basic network connectivity.
  2. Review HMI Device Configuration: In TIA Portal, carefully examine the HMI's device configuration. Ensure the correct communication protocol (likely S7 communication) is selected.
  3. PLC Tag Access Permissions: Within the PLC program, verify that the tags you're attempting to write to have 'Read/Write' permissions enabled.
  4. Data Type Compatibility: Confirm the data types of the tags in the PLC and HMI are identical.
  5. Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure both the PLC and HMI are running the latest firmware versions.
