SIMATIC S7-300 / S7-300F: Connecting Pt100 Towards sm331 7kf2

Hello,
I have an analog module and I need to connect to it some PT100 sensors.
From what I have read I must connect it in a 4 wire connection and the socket on the side to PT100.
In Symbols dialog I have 8 adresses.
Can I connect 8 sensors to the module or in what adresses do I write and what adresses do I use?
Thank you.

PT100 Connection to Analog Module

PT100 Sensor Connection and Addressing

You are correct; PT100 sensors are generally connected in a 4-wire configuration for optimal accuracy with analog modules.

Regarding your 8 addresses: With a single analog module and 8 addresses, you can connect up to 8 PT100 sensors, assuming the module supports multiple channels. Each address typically corresponds to one sensor's input.

Addressing: You would assign each PT100 sensor to a unique address within the available 8. For example:

  • Sensor 1: Address 0
  • Sensor 2: Address 1
  • ...
  • Sensor 8: Address 7

Important Considerations:

  • Module Documentation: Always refer to your specific analog module's documentation on SiePortal for exact wiring diagrams and channel limitations. SiePortal Link
  • Channel Configuration: You might need to configure each channel within the module's parameters (e.g., specifying PT100 as the sensor type, setting the range).
  • Wiring: Ensure correct 4-wire wiring to each sensor and the module.

If you provide the exact module type, I can provide more specific guidance.
