STEP 7 (TIA Portal): Comunication between S71500 & Mc9p Pnoz

Good morning everybody,
I'm looking for a GSDML file, in order to establish the communication between S71500 and a mc9p of  Pnoz. Someone has already tried this kind of communication? I just have a GSD for the communication with a "simple" S7300 with STEP7 V5.5, but nothing for TIA PORTAL.
Thanks in Advance

GSDML File for PNOZ mc9p with S7-1500 & TIA Portal

Good morning!

You're looking for a GSDML file to integrate a PNOZ mc9p safety module with a Siemens S7-1500 PLC using TIA Portal. Unfortunately, a direct GSDML for S7-1500/TIA Portal isn't always readily available as PNOZ devices often require certified safety integration packages.

Here's how to proceed:

  1. PNOZ Website: Check the Pilz website. They are the primary source for GSDML files and safety integration packages specifically for their products. Search for the mc9p and look under the 'Downloads' or 'Support' section.
  2. Pilz Support: Contact Pilz support directly. They can provide the correct GSDML or a pre-certified safety integration package for TIA Portal.
  3. Siemens Industry Online Support: While a direct file may not exist, explore Siemens Industry Online Support using keywords like "PNOZ mc9p S7-1500 TIA Portal" to see if any application examples or FAQs exist.

The GSD file for S7-300/Step 7 V5.5 won’t directly work with TIA Portal/S7-1500. You *need* a GSDML file and potentially a safety integration package to ensure proper and safe communication.

Important: Safety systems require careful integration. Always use certified components and follow the manufacturer's instructions (Pilz) and relevant safety standards.
