STEP 7 (TIA Portal): S7 Programmable logic controller Sim Issue

Hi people,
I am simulating one of my project and there is a silly error.
You can see the attachment that STEP41 set coil is active and reset coil is inactive but the contact is inactive so my counter could not count.
Is this about S7 PLC SIM or something else?
Thank you for your answer.
Regards.

Counter Issue in S7 PLC Simulation

Dear User,

Based on the provided information and attachment, the issue likely stems from how the counter is being simulated within the S7 PLC SIM. Even though the STEP41 set coil appears active and the reset coil inactive, the contact associated with the counter may not be evaluating correctly within the simulation environment.

Here are potential causes and troubleshooting steps:

  • SIM Cycle Time: The SIM cycle time might be too slow to register the changes in the coils affecting the contact.
  • Data Type Mismatch: Ensure the data types of the coils and the counter's input are compatible.
  • Simulation Logic: Double-check the logic around the counter in your SIM program for any unintended behavior.
  • SIM Version: Consider if the issue may be due to a bug in your SIM version.

Please refer to the following resources on SiePortal for more information:

If the issue persists, please provide the following for further assistance:

  • Your S7 PLCSIM version.
  • The relevant section of your PLC program (STEP 7 project).

Sincerely,
Siemens Self Support
