SIMATIC Panel: Siemens 6AV6 643-0BA01-1AX0 Op 277 6" Image

Hello dear friends;
I want to get the image of the panel with runtime inside. I have a new panel with the same order code.
In the new panel, ALT + TAB operation opens the task manager while it is in runtime mode. Task manager does not work on original panel. I guess they did this when uploading (see task manager picture). the UP, DOWN ,ALT and TAB push buttons working properly at runtime.
The ones I tried (with the new panel) If you set and download PLC - HMI communication as profibus DP and runtime starts, you cannot capture the image if you are not in TRANSFER mode. If you manage to switch to TRANSFER mode, you can get the image. (I can't switch to transfer mode on the original panel)
I can not get into transfer mode while booting. runtime passes immediately. If PLC-HMI communication is loaded as MPI, you can capture it with PC-ADAPTER regardless of runtime or transfer mode.
Please help me.
because our original panel display is broken.

Panel Image Capture & Runtime Behavior Issue

Dear User,

Based on your description, the new panel's behavior of displaying the Task Manager during runtime (triggered by Alt+Tab) suggests a configuration difference compared to the original panel. The inability to enter Transfer Mode on the original panel is hindering image capture.

Here's a breakdown and troubleshooting steps:

  • Root Cause: It appears the new panel isn't fully locked down for runtime operation, allowing Windows functionality to surface. The original panel likely had specific settings to prevent this.
  • MPI Communication: Your finding that image capture works with MPI communication regardless of runtime/transfer mode is a good workaround for data recovery, but doesn't resolve the underlying issue.
  • Transfer Mode Access: The inability to enter Transfer Mode is critical. This usually involves a specific key combination during boot-up.

Recommended Actions:

  1. Panel Configuration Comparison: If possible, compare the configuration of both panels (using WinCC Configuration software). Focus on runtime settings, screen protection, and keyboard behavior.
  2. Boot-up Key Combination: Consult the panel's hardware manual to determine the correct key(s) to hold during boot-up to enter Transfer Mode. Try repeatedly pressing and holding the key during the startup process.
  3. SiePortal Knowledge Base: Search Siemens Industry Support Portal for articles related to "HMI panel transfer mode," "runtime behavior," and your specific panel model.
  4. Siemens Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, please open a support request through the Siemens Industry Support Portal, providing the panel order code and a detailed description of your findings.

Regarding the broken display: Capturing the image is the first step. Once you have the image, you can restore it to an identical panel or explore options for display repair.

Sincerely,

Siemens Self Support
