LOGO! - Software: Transmit Parameter Towards counter

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with sending the ON value from my HMI to the counter.
I'm sending multiple values from delays ect. to LOGO and receive them wel, but when i for example send the value 4 for ON. I receive something as 238798. Anyone tips on how to resolve an issue like this?
Thank you in advance!

HMI to LOGO! Counter Issue - Incorrect ON Value

Hello!

The issue you're experiencing, where a simple ON value (like 4) is received as a large number (238798) by your LOGO! from the HMI, typically indicates a data type mismatch or an incorrect data interpretation.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

  • Data Type: Ensure the HMI tag sending the ON value and the LOGO! input receiving it are both configured as Integer (INT) or Byte. Using a different data type (like Real/Float) can lead to this conversion issue.
  • Scaling/Conversion: Check for any unintentional scaling or conversion being applied to the value on either the HMI or LOGO! side.
  • Networking Configuration: Verify the communication settings (protocol, data length) between the HMI and LOGO! are correctly configured.
  • Address Mapping: Double-check the address mapping in both the HMI and LOGO! to ensure the HMI is sending to the correct LOGO! input.

For detailed troubleshooting steps and examples, please refer to these resources in SiePortal:

If the issue persists, providing details about your HMI model, LOGO! version, and communication protocol will help in a more specific diagnosis.
