I make test project on pc-station. On this station I install windows XP sp3, step 7 5.4sp5, winac rtx2009 and simatic net. Ethernet card - realtek. In PC station (hw-config) in slot 2 - WinLC 4.5, in slot 3 (not internal !) IE General. Can i make exchange between this station by UDP and other PC-station? Or is (exchange)it only possible for IE general insert in internal slot?
Yes, you can establish UDP communication between your PC station (with WinLC 4.5 in slot 2 & IE General in slot 3 - external) and another PC station.
The location of IE General (internal or external slot) does not restrict UDP communication functionality. The key requirement is correct configuration of the UDP connection parameters (IP addresses, ports) in both IE General configurations.
However, ensure your Realtek Ethernet card is correctly configured for UDP communication and that there are no firewall restrictions blocking the traffic. Also, verify that both PC stations are on the same network or have proper routing configured.
For detailed configuration information, refer to the following resources:
Note: WinAC RTX 2009 and SIMATIC NET configuration also impacts network communication - ensure they are properly set up to support UDP traffic.
