I have a MM440 6SE6440-2UC13-7AA1 with a PC Inverter Connection Kit 6SE6400-1PC00-0AA0 that I normally connect and read through a PG M2, no problem at all.
At the moment I do not have the PG Computer with me and trying to use a laptop HP ProBook 6560b which has a RS232 port.
Firstly I tried to connect to the MM440 through a virtual machine hosted on VMware Workstation 14 but the STARTER did not see anything. COM port configuration was the same on laptop and virtual machine, also in PG/PC Interface - DEVICE mode.
Does anyone know how to solve compatibility/reading problems between MM440-RS232 and VWware?
As my first option did not work I installed the STARTER directly on the computer and adjusted COM port config and PG/PC Interface to be sure they matched but still I cannot connect. Now STARTER can see the node but seems like in light grey and cannot connect.
Does anyone know why the driver is seen but does not allow me to include it on my project and go online?
