Has anyone had any success with configuring the Automation License Manager on a Virtual PC?
Specifically, I'm trying to connect the ALM on a VirtualPC to my Host PC's ALM so I can do some testing/development using a different operating system to my main one (using the licenses from the Host PC without having to move the licenses onto the guest pc). My Host PC (part of a large domain) can see the Guest PC's ALM and connect to it, but the Guest PC's ALM can't see the Host PC's ALM (says that the PC is unreachable - the Guest isn't part of the domain and is Windows XP)
On the Host PC (Windows 2000 SP4) I have VirtualPC 2004, and Microsoft Loopback Adapter installed. The virtual pc is setup to use the Loopback adapter as the network card (both set to private network addresses)and I seem to be able to communicate fine between the two, with the exception of ALM.
Any help would be appreciated
