Hi all,
just wondering since you are using STEP 5 on a XP guest in VMware, how do you connect to a PLC?
Are you connected via Ethernet and a monkey tail on the PLC, linking Ethernet card to PG port on the CPU?
This works fine on our phycical XP PC's, but not in the virtual enviroment.
On the guests and phycical machines I have STEP5 7.23 HF1 and Simatic Net 2008+SP2.
Simatic Net 2008 SP2 (v.7.1) does not support VMware, Simatic Net 8.2 does support VM but not Windows XP, so its not possible to match.
The problem is, on a XP guest im not able to select the network card in Simatic Net configuration, proberly since the non VMware support.
Running STEP5 issen't much fun, if you can't get online![]()
Best regards
Lars
