LOGO! - Projects: Logo Software Assistance

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out?
We have two logo units in work using one input I1 and one output Q1. The output relay is no longer working so i wanted to change the program to output Q2. The problem is that someone put a password on the program. I now know that the program will be lost.
The program parameters are:
B01: T
T= 00.50s
This is used as an off delay timer. It drives a belt for the set time when input I1 is made.
B02: Par
LIM 000001
This is used to drive the belt every time that I1 is made and if adjusted to LIM 000002 it drives every other ime I1 is made.
I can create the off delay timer put cannot find a function to create the second parameter any advise welcome.

LOGO! Program Modification - Password Reset & Parameter Recreation

LOGO! Program Modification Assistance

You're facing a common issue: a password-protected LOGO! program and the need to modify an output due to a relay failure. Unfortunately, as you noted, resetting the password will result in program loss.

Addressing the Parameter Recreation (B02: Par)

The 'Par' parameter (B02) controlling the belt drive based on input I1 pulses is implemented using a Counter (CNT) block. You'll need to recreate this logic.

Here's how you can achieve the desired functionality:

  1. Use a Counter Block: Implement a counter (CNT) block.
  2. Input: Connect input I1 to the Count Up (CU) input of the counter.
  3. Preset Value: Set the preset value (PV) of the counter to '1' for driving the belt every time I1 is made (LIM 000001 equivalent). Set it to '2' to drive every other time (LIM 000002 equivalent). You will need to use a network with a variable to change the preset value.
  4. Output: Connect the counter's Q output to your new output Q2.

Important Considerations & Resources

  • Password Reset: Siemens Support - Resetting LOGO! Password (Note: program loss occurs).
  • LOGO! Soft Comfort Manual: Refer to the LOGO!Soft Comfort manual for detailed information on the Counter block and its parameters. You can find it on SiePortal.
  • Off-Delay Timer: Recreate the off-delay timer (B01) using a standard Timer block (TON or similar) with the appropriate settings (00.50s).

Remember to thoroughly test the recreated program after implementing these changes.
