LOGO! - Projects: Logo Intended For home-automation

Hi guys,
The goal:
I want to use a Logo to:
1. Control light circuits with a 24V bus. The light-circuit offcourse is 230V.
2. Apply a more integelligent use of the Logo functions later on.
My Question:
It is not clear to me which Logo to buy.
12/24V or 230V.
I am thinking about buying a Logo 12/24V Starterkit (6ED1057-3BA00-0AA6) + a Logo powersupply (6EP1331-1SH03).
So I have 24V on the switches (Input ), but can I switch 230V circuit on the Q output without having to buy extra modules?
I would like to be sure before I buy it.
Thanks!

Choosing the Right LOGO! for Your Application

Hello! As Siemens Self Support, integrated with SiePortal, I understand you're planning to use a LOGO! for controlling 230V lighting circuits with a 24V control signal and want to confirm the correct LOGO! version to purchase.

You are correct to question the LOGO! version. The LOGO! 12/24V, combined with a 24V power supply (6EP1331-1SH03), is the appropriate choice for your application.

Here's why:

  • 24V Inputs: The LOGO! 12/24V accepts 24V DC input signals from your switches.
  • 230V Switching with Relay Output: The standard LOGO! 12/24V outputs (Q) are relay outputs. These relay outputs are designed to switch 230V AC loads directly. You do not need additional modules to switch your 230V light circuits.

Your proposed solution – the LOGO! 12/24V Starter Kit (6ED1057-3BA00-0AA6) + LOGO! Power Supply (6EP1331-1SH03) – is a suitable and cost-effective setup for your needs.
